What inspectors found, January 2024
Rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind care, but some staffing, medicine and maintenance checks needed attention.
This was an unannounced focused inspection on 9 January 2024. One inspector and an Expert by Experience spoke with 8 people, 4 relatives and 5 staff. They also reviewed care, medicine, recruitment and management records.
The home was rated Good overall, with Good ratings for Safe and Well-led. People said they felt safe, received their medicines as prescribed and were happy with the care and support.
Inspectors found some minor problems. These included gaps in one staff member's employment history, limited detail in some as-needed medicine instructions, and small cleanliness and maintenance issues. The home addressed these points immediately, according to the report.
This inspection only looked at Safe and Well-led. The ratings for Effective, Caring and Responsive were carried forward from the last inspection, which was published on 9 January 2018.

Or stay at home with a private carer
Many people who look at care homes end up staying at home with a carer who comes in for a few hours a day, or lives in. PrimeCarers introduces you to self-employed carers you choose yourself: interviewed, ID and DBS checked, from about £20 an hour or £1,120 a week live-in.
