About CQC Explained

When a family looks for care, the first thing they do is search the name of a home or an agency with the letters CQC after it. What they find is a rating and a PDF. This site exists to turn that PDF into something a person can read in five minutes and act on.

Who we are

CQC Explained is run by Helper.Community Ltd, trading as PrimeCarers, a UK introductory agency that helps families find self-employed carers for hourly and live-in care. We are not connected to the Care Quality Commission, and we do not inspect anyone. We publish what the CQC publishes, explained.

How it is paid for

There is no charge to read anything here and no provider pays to be listed or to change what is shown. The site is paid for by PrimeCarers, which is why every page ends with the option of hiring a private carer. Those links are marked as sponsored. Nothing about a service’s page changes depending on whether a family follows them.
