What inspectors found, October 2023
Rotherwood Care Home rated Good; inspectors found people were safe, medicines were managed properly and the home was well-led.
Inspectors visited on 31 August 2023. They spoke with people, staff and managers, reviewed care plans, risk assessments, medicines and management records, and checked building maintenance and water safety.
The home was rated Good for Safe and Well-led. Inspectors found enough staff, safe recruitment, suitable risk assessments, safe medicines procedures and effective infection control. People said they felt safe.
The inspection was prompted partly by concerns about Legionella risk. Inspectors found no evidence that people were at risk from this. The overall Good rating remained unchanged from the previous inspection, which was published in December 2022.

The home had a detailed assessment and action plan for managing water safety. Inspectors found no evidence that people were at risk from the concern about Legionella.
