What inspectors found, August 2023

Rated Good after improvement; inspectors found the home safe and well-led during a focused inspection.

The inspection was unannounced and took place on 11 July 2023. One inspector and an Expert by Experience spoke with people, relatives and staff, observed care, and checked care, medicine, recruitment and management records.

The home was rated Good overall. Inspectors found risks were identified and managed, there were enough staff, medicines were given as prescribed, and infection control arrangements were suitable. People said they felt safe and happy.

This was a focused inspection of Safe and Well-led because concerns had been received about fire safety and the environment. The home had previously been rated Requires Improvement, but inspectors found enough improvement and said it was no longer in breach of the regulations checked.

  • Risks managed

    Care plans explained the steps staff should follow to keep people safe. People told inspectors they felt safe and received safe care.

    Inspectors saw enough staff available to respond to people promptly. Recruitment checks were also carried out safely.
