What inspectors found, December 2023
Randall House is rated Good; inspectors found safe care and strong management, but this inspection only checked two of the five areas.
Inspectors visited without notice on 29 November 2023. They spoke with four people living in the home, two family members, managers and support workers. They also checked care and medicines records, staff files and management records.
The home was rated Good for Safe and Well-led. Inspectors found that risks and medicines were managed safely, there were enough trained staff, and safeguarding and infection control arrangements were in place.
Inspectors found a positive culture, good quality checks and regular feedback from people, relatives and staff. The overall rating remained Good, the same as at the previous inspection published in December 2020.
Safe staffing
The home had enough staff, including for one-to-one support, activities, appointments and visits. Recruitment checks included references and DBS checks.

Safe medicines
Medicines were stored and managed safely. Staff were trained and checked as competent, and regular audits were completed.

Inspectors found a friendly, person-centred culture. People, relatives and staff were complimentary about the home.
