What inspectors found, January 2024
Rated Good; inspectors found people were safe, well supported and cared for by a well-led home.
This was an unannounced inspection on 5 December 2023. Inspectors spoke with 13 people, 8 staff members, 2 relatives and 3 visiting professionals. They also reviewed care, medicines, recruitment and management records.
The home was rated Good overall. Safe was rated Good. Inspectors found that risks were assessed, medicines were managed safely, there were enough staff and infection prevention measures were suitable.
Well-led was also rated Good. Inspectors found an open culture, regular checks on quality and opportunities for people, relatives and staff to give feedback. The home worked with NHS therapy staff to support rehabilitation.
The previous overall rating was Good, published in December 2018. This inspection found that the Safe and Well-led ratings had remained Good.
People felt safe
People, relatives, professionals and staff told inspectors that people were safe. The home had systems for assessing risks and learning from accidents and incidents.

Enough trained staff
Inspectors found enough staff to meet people's needs. Recruitment checks had been completed, training was up to date and the home had maintained a consistent staff team.

Medicines were stored, given and recorded appropriately. Staff had medicines training and their competence was checked.
