What inspectors found, January 2024
Rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind care, but medicines records and some safety documents needed improvement.

The home was rated Good overall. Safe and well-led were both rated Good. Inspectors found enough safely recruited staff, good infection control, suitable safeguarding arrangements and a caring, open management culture.
There were some problems with medicines documentation, the secure storage of thickeners and some personal emergency evacuation plans. These issues were addressed during or after the inspection. The CQC made one recommendation to review medicines procedures.
This was not a full inspection of all five areas. The ratings for Effective, Caring and Responsive were carried over from the previous comprehensive inspection, which was published in June 2018.

Or stay at home with a private carer
Many people who look at care homes end up staying at home with a carer who comes in for a few hours a day, or lives in. PrimeCarers introduces you to self-employed carers you choose yourself: interviewed, ID and DBS checked, from about £20 an hour or £1,120 a week live-in.
