What inspectors found, September 2023

Fairview was rated Good; inspectors found safe, respectful care and stronger staffing, but this was a focused inspection.

Inspectors visited unannounced on 21 and 22 June 2023. They spoke with people living at the home, staff, relatives and health and social care professionals. They also checked care records, medicines records, recruitment files, audits and other documents.

The home was rated Good overall. Safe was rated Good, improving from Requires Improvement at the previous inspection. Well-led remained Good. Inspectors found that people were protected from abuse, risks were assessed, medicines were managed safely and there were enough staff.

Inspectors found a calm home where staff treated people with respect, supported their choices and promoted independence. The management team had systems to monitor quality, respond to incidents and involve people and relatives in care decisions.
