What inspectors found, January 2024
Rated Good; inspectors found safe, person-centred care and good leadership, with some records and family communication needing improvement.
This was an unannounced inspection over four days in December 2023. Inspectors met seven people, contacted nine relatives, spoke with staff and other professionals, and checked care, medicine, recruitment and management records.
The home was rated Good overall. Safe improved from Requires Improvement at the previous rated inspection. Well-led remained Good. Inspectors found enough staff, safe medicines practice, safeguarding systems and care that promoted people's choices, independence and wellbeing.
There were some areas to improve. Recruitment files had gaps, records did not always clearly show one-to-one and two-to-one staffing, and some relatives wanted better communication. The home was taking action on these points.
This report only assesses Safe and Well-led. The other areas were not inspected, so their previous ratings were used when calculating the overall rating.

Staffing allocation records
needs fixingThere were enough staff, but records did not clearly show the one-to-one and two-to-one support people received. The home was asked to improve this.

Or stay at home with a private carer
Many people who look at care homes end up staying at home with a carer who comes in for a few hours a day, or lives in. PrimeCarers introduces you to self-employed carers you choose yourself: interviewed, ID and DBS checked, from about £20 an hour or £1,120 a week live-in.
