The latest report, explained

What inspectors found, January 2024

Corbrook Park is rated Good overall; inspectors found kind, organised care, but safety needed improvement because call bells were sometimes unanswered for too long.

Inspectors visited on 14, 27 and 30 November 2023 without announcing the visits. They spoke with people, relatives, staff and a health professional. They observed care and checked care, medicine, staffing, recruitment and management records.

The overall rating stayed Good. People generally felt safe and said staff were kind. Medicines were managed safely, the home was clean, and staff supported people to make choices about their care.

The Safe rating fell from Good to Requires Improvement. Some people waited too long for call bells to be answered. Staff did not always follow risk plans fully, although the manager acted straight away when inspectors raised these issues.

This was a focused inspection of Safe and Well-led only. The other areas were not inspected and their previous ratings were used to calculate the overall Good rating. Well-led remained Good.
