What inspectors found, December 2023

Ravenscroft Rest Home Limited was rated Good; inspectors found safe, effective and well-led care.

This was an unannounced inspection. The site visit took place on 22 November 2023, with inspection activity ending on 24 November. One inspector spoke with people living at the home, relatives, staff and health professionals, and reviewed care, medicines, recruitment and management records.

Inspectors found the home clean and well maintained, with enough staff and safe recruitment checks. Risks were assessed and reviewed, safeguarding systems were understood, and medicines were administered safely. People were supported with food, drink, healthcare and their own choices.

The home was rated Good overall. Safe, effective and well-led were all rated Good. Caring and responsive were not given a rating in this report.

  • People felt safe

    People said they felt safe and could get help promptly. Risks were assessed and reviewed, while staff were trained in safeguarding.

    Inspectors found enough staff to care for people and confirmed that recruitment checks were completed before staff started work.
