What inspectors found, December 2023
Rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and personalised care across all five areas.
The inspection was unannounced. Inspectors visited on 20 November 2023 and gathered information during inspection activity from 15 to 29 November. They spoke with people living in the home, family members, staff and a visiting professional. They also reviewed care, medicines, recruitment and management records.
Inspectors found that people were safe, treated with kindness and supported by staff who knew their needs. There were enough staff, medicines were managed well, risks were assessed, and infection control arrangements were in place. People were supported with food, drink, healthcare, activities and end of life care.
The home was rated Good in Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led. This means the inspectors found consistently good care and management in the areas they assessed. The previous overall rating was also Good, published on 27 June 2017.

- 02How will you keep my relative's care plan updated if their needs, preferences or communication needs change?
- 03What activities and outings would be suitable for my relative, and how will you support them to stay in contact with family and friends?
- 04How will you involve our family in decisions about care and end of life wishes?
- 05How can we raise a concern, and how will you tell us what action has been taken?

Or stay at home with a private carer
Many people who look at care homes end up staying at home with a carer who comes in for a few hours a day, or lives in. PrimeCarers introduces you to self-employed carers you choose yourself: interviewed, ID and DBS checked, from about £20 an hour or £1,120 a week live-in.
