Lavender Court Residential Home is rated Good overall, with Outstanding leadership and mostly strong findings across safety, care and support.
This was an unannounced comprehensive inspection on 7 December 2023. Inspectors spoke with people living in the home, a relative and staff. They also checked care plans, medicine records and management documents.
The home was rated Good for Safe, Effective, Caring and Responsive. Inspectors found people were protected from abuse, received medicines safely, had personalised care and were treated with kindness, dignity and respect.
The home was rated Outstanding for Well-led. Inspectors found a strong culture of openness, good teamwork, creative support for people's individual needs and close links with the local community. The overall rating is Good. Effective changed from Outstanding at the last inspection in 2017 to Good.
Kind and respectful care
Staff built warm relationships and supported people in the way they wished. People were encouraged to make choices and remain as independent as possible.

Care plans contained detailed information about people's preferences, communication and health needs. Staff adapted routines so people could receive care at times that suited them.
