Dana House is rated Good; inspectors found safe, effective and person-centred care with strong support for people's independence.
The inspection was unannounced and took place on 11 October 2023. One inspector spoke with people living at the home, relatives, managers and care workers. They reviewed support plans, staff records, training records, safety checks and quality monitoring.
The home was rated Good for Safe, Effective and Well-led. Inspectors found enough suitable staff, safe medicines systems, personalised support plans and staff who understood people's needs. People were supported to make choices, stay independent and access the community.
Inspectors saw friendly and respectful care. They found the home worked well with health professionals and relatives, and that managers used audits, meetings and feedback to monitor quality and make improvements. The overall rating remained Good, as it was at the previous inspection published in 2017.
Personalised support
Support plans gave staff clear guidance about people's needs and helped people remain as independent as possible.
