What inspectors found, August 2023

Rated Good; inspectors found safe, person-centred care and confirmed that earlier concerns about decision-making had been addressed.

This was an unannounced inspection by one inspector on 9 June 2023. The inspector spoke with people living in the home, relatives, staff and external health professionals. They reviewed care records, recruitment files and records about quality and safety.

The home was rated Good overall. Safe, Effective, Responsive and Well-led were all rated Good. Inspectors found enough staff, safe medicines arrangements, suitable infection control and detailed risk assessments.

The previous inspection had found that the Mental Capacity Act was not always being followed consistently. This inspection found that the required improvements had been made. People were supported to make decisions and were involved in their care.

    People were involved in decisions about their care and were supported according to their ability. Inspectors found that the previous Mental Capacity Act shortfall had been corrected.
