What inspectors found, December 2023
Rated Good; inspectors found safe, kind and person-centred care, but the home had fallen from Outstanding at its previous inspection.
This was an unannounced inspection on 8 November 2023. One inspector spoke with all three people living there, four support workers and members of the management team. They reviewed care plans, medicines records, policies and management information.
The inspectors found that people were safe, supported by enough staff and given their medicines safely. People had choice over their routines and activities, stayed involved in their local community and received care based on their individual needs.
Some cleaning, food-labelling and checking systems needed improvement. These issues were raised during the visit and action was taken. The overall rating was Good, with Safe, Responsive and Well-led all rated Good. Effective and Caring were not separately rated in this report.

Or stay at home with a private carer
Many people who look at care homes end up staying at home with a carer who comes in for a few hours a day, or lives in. PrimeCarers introduces you to self-employed carers you choose yourself: interviewed, ID and DBS checked, from about £20 an hour or £1,120 a week live-in.
